An Ahaa Moment That Is Real
We are N-The 3rd spot of life!
20 Years Later And Now I Know!
We don’t know what we don’t know. I did not know how to express my actual feelings about my situation. Some said it was nothing when I knew it was something within!
I am not the only one!
The only one of what? I am so glad you asked. As I was maturing I was not feeling my best. I went to several medical specialist and not one had the answers. One specialist would talk to me and run tests( He was nice but I wonder now what did he bill these visits for. :-)). He never said I was crazy, but we did speak about travel and he was nice. He never turned me away.
Fast forward to 2025 and now we know. We know that women experience perimenopause, menopause and post menopause symptoms as early as their 30s. Twenty years ago I had no idea of the symptoms of not feeling myself were perimenopause.
What is Menopause? The etymology of this word comes from the Greek. “Mens” meaning month and “pausis meaning “cessation” which refers to the time when a woman’s monthly menstral cycle ends or the ovaries stop releasing eggs. This is also known as “The climateric” or mentrual periods that will permanently stop marking the end of reproduction. This is just one symptom!
The women in my family never went through the symptoms I experienced because the women closest to me were thrown into menopause via histerectomies. Many women I know like me did not want to seem like we were a little crazy by not being able to share exactly what our issue was. I/we suffeed and kept it to ourselves until.
Sharing Our Wisdom And Resources!
C-Our-Age In Its Finest is a place where I want to share what I call “N-The 3rd Spot” for women in their Fiery 50s, Sizzling 60s, and Still Standy 70s+ living our “Life age and not just our born age!” I will be posting stories, resources to improve our lives as the “matured woman and fun stuff.” The goal is to “ignite’ each of us to keep in mind while being “N-The 3rd Place” of our lives we still have a lot of living. Living differently is an okay thing to do as we mature.
