'TEAs, Not The Tease of Jokes, But The TEAs of Healing"
4 of 5 I'm Asking The Questions Series
As we the “matured women” now in The 3rd Spot (Check out “Let Us Play The Elimination & Gain Game” for details about The 3rd Spot.) do not need to sit and do nothing! We can be active in our physical, mental and spiritual health. Today I’m going to share how drinking various teas will not tease our senses, but will heal our senses in a good way!
I am going to list my top top five teas to enjoy! Let’s sip!
One of my loves that I enjoy doing with teas is mixing them. I love mixing a peach flavor and mint. I know there are several brands of tea, but I love mixing the Tazo brand teas. The actual flavors are Wild Sweet Orange and their Refresh Mint. Yum!
Okay let’s get started!
1. Ginger Tea is known for relieving nausea, but research says it is also understood to be an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant reliever.
2. Pepper Mint Tea helps with digestion relieves bloating and gas, and is often used to relax sore throat muscles and relieves nasal conjestion.
3. Hibiscus Tea is known to support heart health while some research also say it can aid in weight management because of its antioxident content.
The loose leaf hisbiscus leaves are also used to make a refreshing drink like Sorrel. Very tasty!
4. Green Tea is rich in antioxidents, particularly Catechins (pronounced Kat-A-Kins) which may protect against cell damage and offer benefits for heart health and brain function.
This final tea is not my favorite, but…
5. Chamomile Tea is known for its relaxation and sleep promotion. It also can potentially be used to ease digestion and reduce inflammation.
I also want to share a fun summer drink recipe that I love. Tazo teas can also be purchased to be used in large glass pitchers(its prettier in the glass :-)). So I love their Passion Tea. Follow the instructions to make the tea and pour it into a pitcher along with your sweetner while it is hot in the pot or pan you use. The secret is to add a flavored lemon water. The brand you can use is Sparkling ICE and the flavor is lemonade. Stir and pore it over a tall glass of ice or put it into the frig to chill.
Simple and yet refreshing! Yum!
This is not a “tease” but a TEAs message to share and enjoy.
